Kid-Friendly Tip:The simple act of serving veggies in a new and different way is often a surefire approach to getting more vegetables on your child’s plate. For example, if they aren’t a fan of raw broccoli, give it a new look by transforming it into a fun-filled finger food like this.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat a Belgian waffle maker to high heat.
  2. Cut pizza dough into 8, roughly 2-ounce balls. Place half of them in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix broccoli, garlic powder and oregano.
  4. Spray entire waffle maker generously with cooking spray.
  5. Place a dough ball on one section of the waffle maker, stretching to cover the surface.
  6. Top the dough with ¼ cup of broccoli and about 1 tablespoon of cheese. Repeat with remaining dough, broccoli and cheese.
  7. Close the waffle maker lid and cook 5 minutes, or until the dough is browned and cooked through and the cheese is melted and crispy on top. Remove the remaining dough from the refrigerator and repeat.
  8. Serve with pizza sauce for dipping.
